For the third straight year, Mickelson Park will host an all-star game.

Mickelson Park was renovated a handful of years back to become a primary girls fastpitch softball complex. The championship field will be the backdrop of the SCHEELS Softball All-Star Series for the third consecutive year with the 2019 edition kicks off on June 3.

The previous two games have been polar opposites of each other. In 2017, the East won a high scoring affair 15-8. Pitching was the name of the game in 2018, when the East picked up a 2-1 victory in 11 innings in a game that barely lasted two hours despite lasting 4 extra innings.

For the 2019 event, two games will be played at Mickelson Park on Monday, June 3. This is the first time a doubleheader has been part of the series. There will be a skills competition and a single game in Bismarck at the Sanford Sports Complex - Starion Bank Field on June 4.

"Mickelson has been a great venue for the SCHEELS Softball All-Star Series," North Dakota Softball All Stars President Tim How said. "The atmosphere is very unique when we play. They have youth games going on the other three fields and a lot of families flock over to watch."
