The East All-Stars won the rubber game and won the SCHEELS Softball All-Star Series for the first time since 2018.

Game Three: East All-Stars 10, West All-Stars 6

The SCHEELS Softball All-Star Series visited the Magic City of Minot for the first time on June 3, 2025. The East All-Stars topped the West All-Stars 10-6 in front of a large crowd at the Scheels Complex.

Grand Forks Central pitcher Aubrey Hensrud picked up a complete game victory in the circle for the East, allowing three earned runs on nine hits. Hensrud finished the series with a win and a save. She also added two hits at the plate in the game.

Fargo North's Aubrey King had two hits, two runs scored and three runs driven in.

Halle Baker (Minot) launched the only home run of the series with a blast to left. She added two runs scored and two runs batted in at the dish.

For the first time in the five-year history of the event MVP award, it went to a player from the East. Olivia Kalbus of Fargo North took home the honors.

Kalbus had a hit in each game including a double and a triple, walked three times, drove in two runs, and scored six runs for the East All-Stars. The six runs scored ties an all-time series record with three total players from 2022-2023. She also played stellar defense throughout the three games. Kalbus won the outfield throwing contest in the skills competition earlier in the day on Tuesday.

Kaia Hennings set a new series record with 17 strikeouts over nine innings of work, blowing away the former record of 12 set by Theresa Klinnert of Kindred (2018) and Kirsten Galloway of Minot (2023).

Prior to the game, four SCHEELS Softball All-Star Series alumni were on hand to throw out the ceremonial first pitch. North Dakota Softball All Stars board member and 2020 all-star Emma Passa (Velva-Drake/Anamoose), 2024 all-star and University of North Dakota pitcher Ginger Savelkoul (Renville County), 2023 all-star Kirsten Galloway (Minot), and 2021 all-star Brooklyn Benno (Des Lacs-Burlington/Lewis & Clark). Passa and Benno are assistant coaches for Bishop Ryan and Des Lacs-Burlington/Lewis & Clark, respectively.
