Final Regular Season Coaches Polls

Minot and Central Cass claim the top spots with the postseason right around the corner.

The Minot Majettes took down Dickinson 3-2 in the title game of the Peace Garden Bracket at Midseason Madness to help hold onto the No. 1 ranking in Class A. Williston breezed through the Roosevelt Bracket and took home that title in Midseason Madness and then finished up the WDA regular season title thereafter, holding them firm at No. 2 in the rankings. Fargo North is the top rated EDC team in the final rankings. The Spartans took down Thompson and Red River en route to a third place finish in the Peace Garden Bracket at Midseason Madness. 

There are no new entrants to the poll this week, and Bismarck Legacy was the biggest mover jumping up two positions from last week. The final poll has six teams from the WDA and four from the EDC.

Final Class A Regular Season Coaches Poll

Central Cass was the near-unanimous No. 1 team last week. This week, they are the unanimous No. 1 team as they are set to close out the regular season unbeaten against Class B foes. They picked off both Beulah and Kindred-Richland, the two teams right behind them in the rankings, over the course of the past few days. After falling to Minot 7-0, Central Cass rebounded for wins over Thompson (3-2) and Beulah (12-2) to take home the consolation trophy at Midseason Madness in the Peace Garden Bracket. 

Des Lacs-Burlington/Lewis & Clark ran their win streak to 18 games, the longest active streak in the state. The Lakers took down a pair of Class A teams before beating Bottineau 7-5 to win the Flickertail Bracket at Midseason Madness. The Ray Jays ran the table at Midseason Madness to win the Roughrider Bracket. Their ride included a championship win over Bishop Ryan. Heart River also took home hardware at Midseason Madness by winning the Badlands mega-pool with a 3-0 records. 

There were no new entrants to the Class B poll this week, and no team moved up or down by more than one position in the rankings.
