Bismarck 13, Grand Forks Central 2

Both teams were just in town for the day with Bismarck taking on West Fargo in West Fargo on Saturday and Grand Forks Central celebrating prom.

Dickinson 21, Grand Forks Red River 3

Dickinson extended its season opening win streak to 16 with a convincing 5-inning victory over Grand Forks Red River. The Midgets continued their hot hitting that has seen them sit on top of the state's runs per game category by a wide margin.

Des Lacs-Burlington/Lewis & Clark 4, Kindred-Richland 3

#2 DLBLC and #3 Kindred-Richland played the barnburner of the first time slot of the Midseason Madness.

Matti Burchill launched a solo homer in the top of the first to put Kindred-Richland up 1-0. The game stayed that way for several innings despite chances on both sides. In the middle innings, the Vikings had runners on second and third with one out as they tried to extend their lead. Catcher Brynley Benno made a spectacular diving catch on a bunt to thwart the rally.

The Lakers chipped in four runs of their own to take a 4-1 lead into the seventh. Pitcher Brooklyn Benno showed quick reflects on a liner right back at her to catch it. Ultimately, she stranded the tying run on third to preserve the win.

Harvey/Wells County 5, May-Port-CG 4

Another tightly contested crossover Class B game saw Harvey/Wells County pick off May-Port-CG in a game that featured a boatload of strikeouts from both team's pitchers.
