What do you like the most about the game of softball?
My favorite part about softball is each season our team always turn into a family. 

What do you think is your greatest strength in the sport of softball?
I think my greatest strength in softball is my knowledge of the game. Being a catcher most of my life I have gained the ability to understand the offensive and defensive end of each situation I'm put into.

Any favorite moment you used your bat to help your team win?My favorite moment that I used my bat to help my team was hitting a home run at state last year the at-bat after cutting my head open on a defensive play.

Any favorite moment you used your defense to help your team win?
My favorite defensive moments are when I'm able to get outs for my team by throwing people out when they try to steal.

What do you like the most about your head coach?
The thing I like most about Coach Mickey is how much she loves each and every one of us. We are her kids, as she says. She pushes us to not only be great softball players but she is helping make us into genuinely good people.

Who is your softball role model?
My role model in my softball career is my dad, Jason Hopfauf. He puts in extra time with me in the off-season and has always pushed me to be the best I can be.

What is your favorite high school softball moment or game so far?
My favorite high school softball moment is hitting for the cycle against Mandan my eighth grade year.

What are your expectations for the upcoming season?
My expectations for this season are to continue to get better and bring a state title home to Dickinson.

Are you on any travel teams? If so, which one(s)?
This summer I played for the Dickinson Diamonds 18U team and we were able to win the North Dakota state tournament for the fourth consecutive year.

Do you have a favorite pre-game or post-game meal?
My favorite mid-game snack is an Oreo. Whenever my team needs to have a big inning we start it off with an "Oreo Rally".

Do you have any softball superstitions?
My softball superstitions are never stepping on the chalk before a game and always wearing eye black.

What is or would be your walk up song?
My walk up song would be Legend by The Score.

Who is the funniest teammate you have?
My funniest teammate is Mataya Mortensen. She is easily the funniest person I know.

What is the coolest thing about your town?
The coolest thing about Dickinson is how all of our different athletic teams and families support each other.
