What do you like the most about the game of softball?
One of my favorite parts is how rewarding it is. Since the game is so difficult, the feeling I get when I do succeed is one of my favorite feelings in the world. I also love getting to know my teammates and growing closer to them.
What do you think is your greatest strength in the sport of softball?
I think my greatest strength is I am able to put my mistakes behind me and learn from them. I also don’t like to get too worked up after I make a mistake.
Any favorite moment when you used your bat to help your team win?
I have always loved whenever I’m able to get RBIs, but it has always been extra fun the couple times I have been able to get a RBI off of a squeeze bunt.
Any favorite moment you used your defense or pitching to help your team win?
My favorite moment I used my pitching to help my team win was when I got ten strikeouts against Davies this past school season. That game helped me to realize that all the work I had done in the winter had helped me improve.
What do you like the most about your head coach?
Vance cares so much about the game of softball, but he also cares about us as people. He is always willing to talk to us whenever we need it and I have never felt like there’s a question I cannot ask him.
What is your favorite high school softball moment or game so far?My favorite high school game so far was our first game against Valley City this past school season. A lot of our team was playing new positions and it was my first game as starting varsity pitcher, so we were all super excited when we won. That game was really fun because it gave us the confidence we needed going into the season.
Are there any teams you look forward to playing next year? If so, why?
I always look forward to playing Fargo Davies and Fargo North. I have been teammates with a lot of those girls in the summer, so I always enjoy playing them during the school season.
